La Premavera, the painting that was drawn by Sandro Botticelli who was the famous Italian artist in Florence in 1478. It has a specific description that represents Venus celebrating the Allegory of Spring which means the arrival of spring. For this painting, Botticelli utilized the tempra on wood, the technique of mixing color paintings with combining the eggs. Furthermore, he added facial expressions, sfumato and the background which values the quality of the art that makes the mood of this art dark but delight.
As you can see, in this painting, there is Venus in the middle of the painting. To left side of our sight, we can see three women who are putting their hands and facing each other which informs us of the celebration of Florence. These three women were targeted by Eros' cubided arrows which make them to fall in the beauty of love. Eros is right above Venus. The other characters are the Greek mythology characters. The most important character among them is Mercury who is on the left side of our view. The reason why is, in this painting, the artist was perhaps trying to show us that he was controlling the clouds to move so the spring is able to come.
Botticelli drew this painting when Juliano de Medici and Simonetta were having a marriage. His main efforts to draw this painting was the love between them which could blame as Eros and Venus. The other significant point of the painting with his efforts was that, it is not about the christianity which should be the one of the story in the bible. Botticelli's purpose was to create and draw the new topic of the arts in Renaissance period. It means, he created the secularism. Therefore his creation from his art, 'La Premavera' gave artists and people to think about the new discover of art. The advantages of being away from the religious painting. From this period, La Premavera developed the freedom of art to become further away from the religion. This made other artists to paint their work with new techniques and knowledges into their real life that sometimes included the pious. They even made their own styles of art and shared their ideas of techniques with people and foreigns. In the conclusion, Botticelli's art affected the christianity to be weakened and the humanism and the secularism to be constructed more and more which made the set of the 'Freedom'.
